After this lesson you will know how to build a Chibi body from a variety of simple shapes. You will also know how big the head, the torso, the legs and arms need to be.

Lesson 7: Make your Chibi more lifelike using shadows
After this lesson you will how you can add shadows, coming from a single light source, to your Chibi.
After this lesson you will understand the meaning of terms such as highlights and drop shadow. It will be short lesson with a challenging assignment, a bit different than the others.

Lesson 8: Give your Chibi some clothes
After this lesson you will know how to draw different pieces of clothing and you will be able to give your Chibi a nice outfit.
After the lesson you will have expanded your visual library again and you will know how to draw different shirts, sweaters, pants, skirts and dresses.

Lesson 9: Make your Chibi move
After this lesson you will know how to draw your Chibi in several different poses. For example, you will be able to draw your Chibi sitting in different ways, making him do a karate kick or having him swing a sword.
In this lesson you will also learn to draw objects that your Chibi can hold like a sword, a teapot, a stack of books or an umbrella. You will also learn how to draw your Chibi’s hands when holding these objects.

Lesson 10: Multiple Chibis in a single drawing
After this lesson you will know how to draw multiple Chibis together in a single drawing while keeping them all properly proportioned. We will also be diving a bit into composition, so you will know how to guide your viewer to one of more chibis

Here we will be celebrating your succesful completion of 10 lessons. We will be looking back at all the things you have learned and all the things you are now capable of drawing. There will be a fun last assignment: Drawing your very own Chibi for display in the gallery on this website. That way everyone can see that you now know how to draw a Chibi!

No. This course is for both beginners and experienced artists. I will explain everything very clearly and start with simple assignments. Step by step the course will become more challenging.

This artstyle comes from Japan and is very simpelistic in nature. Hands, feet, the body and the face are very simplistic and yet extremely adorable. This is the strength of the Chibi artstyle. If you want to be able to draw more manga or realistic characters then this course will be a nice first step. This course is also very suited for you if you like the Chibi artstyle and want to learn how to draw like that. The course is filled with assignments, step by step videos and downloadable reference materials and visuals. You will also become a member of the Chibi artist group on the course platform. Through that group you will be able to exchange your experiences with other students.
